THE ADOPTION OF INCLUSIVE BUSINESS MODELS IN THE AGRO-INDUSTRIAL SECTOR AS A TOOL FOR INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIVENESS

Abstract
International markets reflect continuous changes, driven by a higher level of consumer awareness towards social and environmental factors. For exporting companies in the agro-industrial sector, it is not enough to comply with strict quality parameters, being the combination of organizational practices a way of adjusting to the trends of the global environment. Inclusive Businesses (NI) are gaining strength as a strategic vision associated with the business commitment to incorporating segments of the vulnerable communities into the value chain. The purpose of this article is the NI strategies that enable companies to compete in dynamic markets. The research developed was a documentary one, with a qualitative approach, in a descriptive reach. A sample of 12 case studies of Latin American exporting that have successfully applied NI in international trade is used. Among the main findings, it was highlighted that companies use the modalities of: anchor company, associations and linkage programs, with strategies of technical assistance, training, organic certification, credits. It was concluded that the NI have made a huge difference in small farmers' life quality, while exporting companies that promote them generate competitive advantages to access highly demanding market niches.
