COVID-19 modeling in Ecuador

Abstract

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic that has affected us since the beginning of 2020; this work was carried out in order to present a mathematical model that allows to understand the dynamics of coronavirus or COVID-19 in Ecuador. The study was carried out using official sources, the purpose of this article is to know the evolution of this disease in the country in relation to the need to reactivate the economic system. SEIR and SEIMR models were used as the basis, including the effect of curfew, as well as cases that are not part of the official sources. This work is concluded with the presentation of the model and projections until the end of 2020.
