Abstract

The need to control variability when be having Poisson and multinomial discrete quality variables in the multivariate context led us to perform a general and introductory review of the most relevant proposals that have been made to monitor multivariate control charts for this type of variables. There is much research that has been done in the parametric and non-parametric context in this field, which in this article we try to highlight. However, under the fuzzy theory approach, few works are devoted to the study of this type of charts. Fuzzy theory can be a very useful tool to model multivariate control situations where there are correlated variables and of different categories. We hope that this article can guide and be a help for who are looking information in the field of multivariate control charts for Poisson and multinomial variables.
