Quality of population and housing censuses traditional: Evaluation of its stages

Abstract

The population and housing census provides the knowledge of the real situation in a country as a first step to discovering its opportunities for improvement, therefore it is important to ensure the quality of this national exercise. The objective of this article is to evaluate the stages of the census process, for which reports of these plans were used specifically in Ecuador. This paper sets out the importance of the quality of census data, proposes indicators to evaluate the census operation and finally analyses the application of census evaluation methods.
